• Q: What are QR codes?
  A: QR stands for "Quick Reference" or "Quick Response". A QR code is a barcode that is readable by QR scanners (such as mobile phones with cameras and smartphones). The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a (typically) white background. These codes can redirect the user to a web address, text, or other data:
  
  
  
  QR codes were initially used in manufacturing, but due to the widespread use of smartphones, QR codes are becoming frequently used in markting collateral (e.g., business cards, flyers, etc). The QR code that is located on the back of the MyIsagenix business card (that you may have used to get to this site) distributed at Celebration is technically known as a High Capacity Color Barcode (HCCB), but the use is essentially the same.
  
  You can create your own QR or HCCB code by going to any of the number of generation sites available on the internet. Simply Google "QR Code Generator", and you'll be presented with more than a few. Kaywa is a great way to generate a standard QR code. We used Microsoft's Tag Generator to generate the tag on the back of the MyIsagenix business card:
  
  
  
  QR code readers are freely available for all smartphones (Microsoft Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Android, and iPhone), so take advantage of this new advertising medium.
